Nate focuses on functional, wheel-thrown pottery with a special focus on Gongfu teaware, blending Chinese function, Korean form, and modern American surface
.
As an instructor, Nate brings a method-based teaching style shaped by a background in teaching and neuroscience, helping students of all levels build strong technical skills while developing their own creative voice.

Outside ceramics, Nate loves playing and writing music, exploring nature, and board game nights with friends.




Jasmine Oakley
Wheel, Hand-Building
Jasmine Oakley is an interdisciplinary artist and ethnobotanist passionate about teaching and making the exploration between form and aesthetics accessible in ceramics. She draws inspiration from the natural world, diverse cultural traditions, and history, guiding students to create functional ceramics that foster connection between people and the environment.
Through her work and teaching, Jasmine emphasizes the utility of pottery as a way to inspire curiosity, cultural exchange, and a deeper appreciation for our natural world.
