Intro to Hand-Building
Sundays, May 17 – June 7, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
This multi-week course introduces the fundamentals of hand-building through a series of guided projects. Students will learn essential techniques, including pinch pots, coil building, slab construction, and proper methods for attaching and refining forms. Surface design will be explored using underglaze and decorative techniques, followed by a final glazing session.
Over the course, students will complete three unique projects while building skills, confidence, and an understanding of the full ceramic process from raw clay to finished piece.
No experience is necessary - just bring your creativity and be ready to get your hands dirty! This class is ideal for beginners as well as returning potters who want to refine their fundamentals. Ages 16+.
